Hormone Replacement Therapy
It has been increasingly popular for the use of the botanicals and herbs for hot flash and night sweats, as well as other symptoms related to menopause. Due mostly to the studies completed by the Women's Health Initiative relating to the health risks associated with long term of hormone replacement therapy. The study concerning about hormone replacement therapy ended in 2002 because of the large number of reported adverse events. It has been concluded the hormone replacement therapy increased a risk for woman to develop blot clots and stroke. Estrogen only therapy increases a woman's risk of endometrial cancer, if she has her uterus. Leg pain and breast tenderness are the other side effects of hormone replacement therapy.
