Prevention of deterioration of the oral mucosa, salivary glands and jaw bones
In general, these effects serve the preventive measures we have commented in other sections such as caries, periodontal disease and oral cancer:
• Elimination of plaque through proper oral hygiene.
• Diet and adequate hydration.
• Do not smoke.
• Do not drink alcohol: If you drink with moderation.
• Avoid any activity that may be irritating to the mouth.
• Treat stress.
• Revisions to the dentist every 6-12 months.
But we will mention a few quirks.
• Oral Infections: very important not only hygienic habits of oral care but in general. The care and regular disinfection liquid antiseptic mouth of the prosthesis are very necessary. • Bone disorders in connection with teeth: prevent infections in the teeth (caries, periodontal disease).
• Alterations of bone development, we must eliminate harmful agents during pregnancy, such as snuff and alcohol, as well as pursue a full and varied diet (avoid nutritional deficiencies).
